A suicide attempt by teenager Pamela Watkins leaves the young girl’s
family concerned regarding her state of mind and what could have driven her to contemplate such a
drastic solution. No answers can be found from Pamela herself, who has withdrawn into doubts she
refuses to express to others. As answers begin to reveal themselves Pamela's life spirals further
downward, complicating the situation further and driving her closer to tragedy.
Beverly Johnson, a Court Appointed Special Advocate, is assigned to the case. Meeting with the teenager brings up unresolved issues from both of their pasts, with the clues to Pamela's mental health and Beverly’s recurring doubts buried beneath ten years of family complications and unresolved issues.
